support an artist_edited.jpg

A program invented and organized by the KHALF40 Artists’ Collective. The program gives a technical, Artistic and mentoring support with an opportunity of financial support in a specific conditions; the program is targeting the support  of the Egyptian young artists in their projects under development, projects in progress, and stages of research and exploration in their artistic projects.

At the current moment, and the unstable global context , we think that it is necessary to focus on building a program structure concerned with positive interaction with the general context and try to link experiences together in order to come up with disciplined artistic products and professional artists.

This version of the program focuses on two main concepts, development and knowledge, interpreted in three sections THE INCUBATION LAB that focuses on giving a full package of support for creations in development, this support includes several components such as artistic mentoring, technical advice. fund raising, building artistic dossiers, and promotional help..

Also within this program we work on THE BOOKLET, which is a full guide for all performing arts operators, THE BOOKLET is an updated guide for several performing arts opportunities such as Funds, Residencies, Universities..etc. plus their deadlines and links.

The 3rd section in the program is the MICRO-FUND, which supports artists financially with small amounts that helps in covering the cost of living and per-diem directed to artists who have opportunities to reside abroad or participate in international festivals.

IN DEVELOPMENT CREATION
GHAFFEL

GHAFFEL is a duet dance performance By. Mohanad Azzam and Nadine Nasr; questions in an abstract way the relationship between dreams and memories, their structure and the dynamic of their relationship, and whether dreams can exist without the memories. This project aims to create a collective state similar to a dream that we all dreamed of before, so the audience feels some familiarity in what he Is watching. And that he experienced that before in a dream or a memory.
